Last week Pipe Core attended the No-Dig Downunder Expo, on the Gold Coast, to showcase our latest equipment and materials.
THE LOCAL SCENE…
We regularly attend trade shows in Germany and the US and, while the Australian version was a lot smaller, we were pleasantly surprised with the turn out.
Our German and Finnish suppliers made the trip over and joined us at the exhibition where they were kept busy with technical enquiries.
The Australian pipe relining industry is still in its infancy but we saw signs of a definite a trend – led by forward thinking business operators – who have identified the potential and are enthusiastically embracing the new technology.
NEW SPRAY LINING TECHNOLOGY FROM EUROPE HITS THE MARKET…
We took the opportunity to launch our new spray lining machine at No Dig and were excited to take first orders from a couple of industry leaders who have been patiently waiting for it to land.
We are the exclusive Australian agents for Finland’s Relining Group, providers of a new machine that applies a thin coat of Poly Urea resin to the wall of the pipe. The next coat can be applied within about 5 minutes and the finished result is a liner that is stronger and easier to apply than traditional CIPP. Relining Group don’t claim to be the inventors of spray lining, but they have certainly perfected it!
While spray lining does not suit all situations it is ideal for multi storey buildings where suspended drains are difficult to access. It is especially useful for reinstating structural integrity to frail metal pipes such as copper, brass and cast iron. In Europe spray lining has been used to restore entire high rise buildings without the need for costly demolition to access and replace old pipes.
PIPE CORE A STAND OUT…
There were a number of companies at the expo selling CIPP materials. But, as one of only two companies accredited with the Australian Standard Watermark approval, we can humbly admit Pipe Core was a stand out.
Plumbing inspectors have already started to clamp down on unapproved liners, with cautions being issued in South Australia and Victoria. The message coming through loud and clear is don’t get caught out with inferior materials and make sure that the product that you install is properly approved. Pipe Core has the Watermark approval for our resin and felt, so you can install it with confidence.
Pipe Core are Australia’s leaders in trenchless technology, supplies and training. If you would like a demo on any of our equipment including Camera Systems, Spray Lining, Inversion and Pull in Place Lining, give us a call, drop us a line or come and see us at our factory in South Melbourne.
