Recently, APM invested in a purpose-built truck configuration to house the RRcure 1500 UV curing system from Rausch Rehab — a unit designed to support efficient curing of larger diameter liners while maintaining precise control throughout the installation process.
Rather than treating the curing unit as a standalone asset, the Scania P360 8×4 rigid truck fitted with a pantech body has been configured as a fully integrated workspace, enabling operators to manage the installation process in a controlled, safe, and repeatable environment.
“It is important to work neatly, safely and with clear access to the asset,” Pickup said.
“We are constantly re-evaluating how we approach each job to adapt to site conditions while maintaining control of the installation.”
The truck setup reflects this philosophy.
Designed as a self-contained unit, it incorporates a dedicated operator area with climate control, allowing the curing process to be monitored and managed from within the vehicle.
The RRcure system can be operated remotely from a central control desk, enabling continuous oversight of curing parameters and system performance.
Equipment is arranged in a logical and ergonomic layout, supporting efficient workflows and reducing unnecessary handling during installation.
The inclusion of a full packer set from SAERTEX multiCom®, milling capability, and ancillary equipment ensures the crew can respond to site conditions without reliance on additional resources.
This level of integration supports a more controlled installation process, where operators remain fully aware of system performance and can make real-time adjustments as required.
APM has also invested in one of the largest and most powerful light train configurations in Australia, enabling the team to take on more complex installations while maintaining control and consistency across the curing process.
Importantly, the system allows for accurate calibration and testing, with consistent blower control and data monitoring supporting quality assurance outcomes.
